Terms and conditions of Sale
By placing an order on this web site or by mail or telephone with Letchworths (Freemasons' Hall, London) Limited ("Letchworths") you agree to contract with Letchworths in accordance with the following terms and conditions of sale.
1. Goods and Services
Letchworths warrants that all goods promoted for sale by mail order, in its website brochure or elsewhere are of satisfactory quality. Specifications of the goods to be sold are not intended to be binding and are intended only to give a general description of the goods.
Letchworths reserves the right to: (i) make any changes in the specification necessary to comply with any applicable legal requirements; and (ii) change the published specification provided this does not materially affect the quality or performance of the goods. In all other respects, and to the maximum extent permissible, Letchworths makes no other warranties or promises about the goods, and any implied warranties are excluded.
2. Availability, prices and information
Letchworths does not promise that goods are necessarily available and all goods are offered for sale subject to availability. The price of the goods shall be the price listed for mail order sales, in its website brochure or elsewhere on the date of your order, inclusive of VAT. All prices displayed are quoted in UK Pounds Sterling and must be paid in full, including delivery charges.
Letchworths will treat each order for goods as an offer by you to purchase the goods and services subject these terms and conditions. You are responsible for ensuring the accuracy of your order and Letchworths shall supply you, subject to availability, with the quantity and specification of goods set out in your order. Letchworths shall confirm each order in writing but you would be advised to keep a copy of the mail order form. Our written confirmation shall be our acceptance of the contract between us.
You may pay using credit card, Switch debit card or cheque. Letchworths does not offer any credit facilities, so will not deliver goods to you if you do not pay for your order in full at the time of ordering. A list of credit cards acceptable by Letchworths from time to time is available on request.
5. Data Protection
Letchworths is registered under, and will process your personal data in accordance with data protection legislation. By sending Letchworths any messages or order forms you consent to the processing of your personal data by Letchworths using databases and spreadsheets for the purpose of processing your request. This may involve Letchworths disclosing your details to regulatory bodies and/or third parties. The legal bases on which Letchworths processes your data are to fulfil our contracts with you and your consent.
From time to time we may also notify you by post, telephone, or email of other goods and/or services offered by Letchworths, if you have chosen to opt in to our mailing list.

Delivery shall be made to the delivery address supplied by you at the time of ordering. Any times quoted for delivery are approximate only and Letchworths shall not be liable for any delay in delivery of the goods howsoever caused. Risk of damage to or loss of the goods shall pass to you at the time of delivery. Where an alternative delivery point is used according to instructions supplied by you at the time of ordering, ownership of the goods shall pass to you once the goods have been delivered, even if the goods have not been received by you in person.
Letchworths wants you to be totally satisfied with our goods. Our warranty contained in term 1 above is subject to the following conditions: (i) the goods must be stored in appropriate conditions; if you do not store them in appropriate conditions we cannot be held responsible for faults or problems that arise as a result; (ii) any claim by you in respect of any shortages and/or defects in the goods must be notified to us by you within fourteen (14) days of the delivery date; failure to so notify us will, subject to cancellation (see below), deem you to have accepted the goods. Where you make a valid claim in respect of any shortages or defects and we are liable for the claim, we can at our option make up the shortages or replace the goods free of charge, or refund the price of the goods in question to you, but we shall have no further liability to you. If delivery is not refused and you do not notify Letchworths accordingly, Letchworths shall have no liability for any defects and you shall be bound to pay for the goods.
Cancellation of orders will only be accepted if notification is received by Letchworths within fourteen (14) working days from receipt of the goods. Cancellation may be made by telephone or email but must be confirmed by letter or fax within this period. The written or email notice must contain your order number, name and address. Letchworths will confirm any cancellation by telephone, fax, letter or email and will repay you within 30 days from receipt of your cancellation without any further charge to you except the direct cost of returning the goods.
of Liability The limit of our liability to you is the making up of any shortfall, replacement, refund of the price of the goods as provided for in terms 7 and 8. We are not responsible to you to any greater extent and in particular we are not liable to you for any indirect or consequential loss (including without limitation financial loss such as loss of profit, or otherwise) which you may incur for whatever reason, as a consequence of our failure to comply with these terms and conditions. This term does not operate to exclude or limit our liability in respect of death or personal injury caused by our negligence.
10. Choice of Law and Jurisdiction
These Terms shall be governed by and construed in accordance with English Law and agree to submit to the non-exclusive jurisdiction of the English courts.
